Job Description: Statistical Research Analyst
Position Overview:
The Statistical Research Analyst is responsible for conducting data analysis and statistical research to support various projects and initiatives within the organization. This role requires a strong background in mathematics and statistics, as well as proficiency in statistical software and tools. The Statistical Research Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, develop statistical models, and provide valuable insights for decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct statistical analysis using appropriate methodologies and tools to identify trends, patterns, and relationships within large and complex datasets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define research objectives and develop research plans that align with business goals.
- Design and implement statistical models, experiments, and surveys to collect relevant data for analysis.
- Clean, validate, and preprocess datasets to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Apply advanced statistical techniques, such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling, to analyze and interpret data.
- Prepare detailed reports, visualizations, and presentations to effectively communicate research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights, recommendations, and actionable strategies based on statistical analysis.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in statistical research and data analysis methodologies.
- Maintain documentation and records of research methodologies, data sources, and analysis techniques for future reference.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
- Strong knowledge of statistical concepts, methodologies, and techniques.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as R, Python, or SAS.
- Experience in data cleaning, manipulation, and preprocessing techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Solid understanding of hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and other statistical modeling techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex statistical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus.
- Previous experience in statistical research or data analysis role is preferred.
